Kayak boat

Post by philpot » 15 Mar 2025, 16:24

Hello guys, it has been a long time since I have been on here but it is never too late.

I have not had a boat for some time with my F-Rib 330 sadly missed but as I am getting on in years and fancying another boat, the thought of a kayak boat as they seem to be called now, most of which take up to a 6hp outboard and are easily car topped look to be ideal for this aging old tart.
I know there are a number of companies offering this type of craft including Boatworld with their 365 looking ideal for river fishing and estuary fishing on my local coast. One has had a very poor review but a few have had some good feedback but I wondered if any of you guys own one and if so what are your thoughts please.

I am not convinced this is the route I will take but it would be interesting to hear from you.

Phil ! Great to hear your back on . Like me been off for some time due to ........ anyway I regrettably had to sell the Excel 390 volaire.
And like you old habits die hard lol
I purchased a seapro 270 alu hull .
I would say it would be like your old F-rib 330 but rigid and definitely not foldable !
But, it is a heck of a lot lighter for me to handle and with the alu hull it'll take a few scrapes.
And believe it or not it hasn't been near the water yet !
I have it on a jet ski type trailer which I have to trail everywhere.
Had thought of putting it on the roof ? Naaaa too much stress and strain .
Make life easier is now my train of thought hence the trailer. And once I've sorted insurance I will take it out.
Take Care my friend and stay safe on the water x
