Suprod T350 foldable

Post by CRF999 » 13 Sep 2022, 18:40

Just got one of these via ebay. Purchase price £154.87, carriage £24.87. Duty and VAT this end £46.13 Total £225.37. Was it worth it ?

with my bad back and the ease with which it assembled ( perfectly) , compact size when folded and easy modification to take a tow hitch for slow pull up slip and on site .

The answer is a resounding HELL YES. I really was unsure at the point of order but now that I have got my hands on it and had a play I am very, very pleased.
I just hope the weather holds up and that I can get pout for the first time this year.

If I am lucky some Mackerel and pollock will be caught and put on the smoker.

regards Clive

Great to hear.

I'm a big fan of the suprod stuff. I'm on my second set of folding launch wheels ( sold my little avon I had the ones that fold flat on the transom against) . Now got st200 on my honwave.

All thier stuff seems nicely engineered and simple designs that just work without being over complex.

Well it has been well and truly christened up at Oban, the caravan site at North Ledaig.

12 days, 5 trips out catching mackerel, pollack and spurdogs to 4' long. That got a bit interesting when a pack of 6 came up with the one i had hooked and were zipping around under the boat.
Those spikes certainly get your attention in an air filled boat.
Longest trip was a total of 35 miles to the top of Loch Etive ( nearly Glen Coe )

It was all made so much better by how easy and effortless it was to recover the boat.
tip it up an its back end my beautiful assistant slides the trailer under as far as it will go. lower the boat down and utch it forward a bit so the rear supports are right by the transom.
Using the tow hitch modification clip it to the car and drag it back to the caravan to sort out for the night.

I got the version with the little castor wheel at the front so very little weight ever had to be lifted.
More like levered with mechanical advantage.

VERY VERY pleased Highly recommended.

Regards Clive
