Hi Guys ,
I’ve had a zodiac Zoom 3.1m with a Tohatsu 8hp 2 stroke for 9 years , I’ve used it on holidays to Oban and on Loch Lomond , I’ve just purchased a Honwave 3.8 second hand , it is the air floor model , I don’t know the model number ,
I’ve been using it with the 8hp engine for the last week on holiday , definitely goes better with one and not two on it ,
I’ll be looking for a bigger engine for it shortly, will be picking your brains on the size to go for . John

Re: New member,
Hi John, Welcome aboard.
Your new sib , if it has a V floor will be called a T38ie.. FANTASTIC CRAFT !!!
They'll do ok with a 8-10 hp but stick a 20hp for the full fat effect of the T38 and you'll be blown away by it's ability.
My personal opinion, i think the Suzuki is still king of the portables, Followed very closely by the Tohatsu, both sub 45kg and both efi, reliability with economy.
Enjoy the forum,
Martin

Re: New member,
Hi and welcome.
Oban is certainly a great area for getting out on the water, hope to get over that way later in the year again in my campervan.
Which site do you use there?
