Warsash or round there Fri/Sat 20th/21st August?
Hi - anyone fancy a day out on Friday 20th or Saturday 21st August from Warsash? Looks like high tide is 10am till 1pm, with lows at 3am and 4pm. BBC weather even looks promising for both sun and wind? Or somewhere like Itchenor (though I've never been there)?

Might be up for a trip out of Warsash if we’re around. Up north at the mo but could be available next Fri/Sat if conditions look favourable. Cheers.

Hi guys, many thanks for the replies. Overall, I'm inclined to think maybe a later date might work better. Weather is now looking gloomier, with just cloud. But I'm also not sure about how good Warsash is for RIBs on trailers, as I remember it being a very shallow gradient on gravel- and both you guys were on trailers on the Christchurch trip? ( @s@harrison and @s@sonny1 . Maybe look for a better slipway in September?

No worries @chas1336, we’ll look out for the rescheduled date.
PS: No probs launching our tiny rib at Warsash.

Never had a problem with the gradient at Warsash. Need to detach trailer and push it in a bit at high tide but the slip steepens as the tide goes out.

Strangely, Warsash is one of the few places where it is easier to launch at low water if you have a trailered boat.

I'm keen to join in when a new date gets proposed. I missed the Christchurch outing due to conflicting commitments, but there's nothing except endless DIY and decorating in my schedule for the next few weeks so a SIB jaunt would be a welcome distraction.

Hi @Froglet , do you fancy a rerun of the April attempt with @ChrisParish to get across to the Isle of Wight?

Re: Warsash or round there Fri/Sat 20th/21st August?
Sounds good, although I vote for a day when the wind is lighter. The 14mph wind that day in April kicked up more nasty steep chop than I or my boat were comfortable with. Getting airborne into the wind or surfing uncontrollably down the waves after we turned around may have been exhilarating, but not a good recipe for making fast, safe progress.
Fingers crossed for some nice weather in the next few weeks.
