*** Hello fellow sea mates ***

Post by Arnoski » 28 Feb 2021, 11:55

Hi All, I'm Arni a young 47year old with a sense of adventure. I don't take things too seriously. Im from Cramlington, Northumberland and looking for others to share fun days out cruising on the sea and to catch me some nice fresh tea. Any others on the northeast coast fancy getting together. I've ordered my new seapro HD 3.4m with a 15hp due to arrive in April. Cant wait to get out with my son and maybe others who are interested. Hope everyone's keeping well.

Hey Arni, welcome to the forum.

A few miles further north than you but based and launch from Beadnell over the summer. Hopefully up there from around mid April based on current lockdown shite.

Don’t do fishing I’m afraid but can be found hooning around bay hopping, or on good days out to the Farnes and longer coastal jaunts anywhere down to around Amble or north up to Holy Island.

Enjoy your new boat. :thumbsup

Hi and welcome!

Depending usually on the time of year (or at the moment wherever I'm locked down) I'm either too far north or too far south from you to easily hook up but I look forward to seeing some pictures and maybe videos of your floaty adventures when you do get a-sea.

Before I retired I used to do a lot of business with a certain company in Cramlington -
no names no pack drill but they were a very big American Air Filter manufacturer! :whistle
cheers
Roger

Thanks Harrison, I was up at Beadnell Bay a few times during lockdown, scouting for launch sites. Does the tractor man get offended if you don't use him ? A beautiful place to go also.

Hi Roger I know the company very well. Quite a few used to mention they work there, so quite popular for local people. Im looking forward to getting out and about.

Unfortunately for anything on a trailer or even transom wheels no access to beach unless you pay. Barrier locked or tractor parked in front....£10 for hand launch or £30 tractor launch.

Of course, for a sib nothing to stop you carrying onto and inflating/assembling on the beach. Free pedestrian access so Jim the tractor man can’t really have any objections. :whistle

I've been to Beadnell Bay a few times over the years in the motorhome but not with the boat. I think there's a barrier on the access to the launch point from the car park where the tractor operates. The web site mentions a £10 fee for hand launch but hasn't been updated for about seven years so that may not be current.
cheers
Roger
