Valve fittings

Post by wba 1879 » 21 Feb 2021, 09:52

I have a bravo BP12 pump. I bought the pump and inflatable from the same store and they fitted the push push fitting to the pump rather the a Halkey Robert's one. The pump came with a HR fitting but haven't tried it on mine so not sure if it fits. The push push one does pop off so has to be held. Just wondered why the would use the push push rather than the HR fitting.

No idea.

If you have the correct Halkey Robert’s bayonet fitting....use it.

Many tend to be generic and may find you need to change washer thickness to get a good seal. Also some have an internal plunger (fixed or adjustable) which opens the inner inflation valve which also need adjusting.
