Yes, I imagine I will have to adjust it once on the water.ChrisParish wrote: ↑01 May 2020, 14:02Yes, that’s true to a degree but at non-planing speeds the transom will still be below water level although I agree that at planing speeds it should be above the waterline.
I still think it is way too low, but it’s hard to tell from the photos. You may have to lay it back at an angle like warder54

Re: Borika Mounts for the Elling 350KB
@Sibfisher my setup shown below only applies to air floors with trim tabs, and in particular the T38
For your boat, I reckon
@Gray’s solution is about right. Don’t necessarily agree with comments it’s too low as it’s a cat hull and transducer has to be skimming/in contact with the water whilst on the plane. At non planing speeds it will work well submerged below the surface and not subject to undue forces. Anyway as it’s telescopic any height adjustments are possible.

Re: Borika Mounts for the Elling 350KB
Thanks for the advice I have ordered the none telescopic mount that I will be putting on, I take it looking at yours photos it should be placed level or just above the keel tube when in the water to get the right height if I am not wrongGray wrote: ↑30 Apr 2020, 11:48@Sibfisher Cheers for that. I am still waiting on my order from Boatworld for the rod holders. I might give them a shout today.
Here are some pics of my transducer mounted. It might help when you do yours. Mine is the telescopic version, so I can alter the depth.

Re: Borika Mounts for the Elling 350KB
Exact height will only be determined after on water testing. There is a very fine line where these things work at planing speeds and not produce excessive splash...ie too deep...and even harder on a cat hull.
The telescopic version would be easier but still possible with the fixed version as you can alter the ‘angle of dangle’ to effectively fine tune height of transducer.
Best advice though would be not to drill transom initially. Mount fitting on a timber batten which you can G-clamp to transom and slide up and down for best results whilst actually testing on the water at different speeds.

Re: Borika Mounts for the Elling 350KB
Good idea mounting it first on some wood first to try it out, like you have done with your new wheels.
I put the order in on there site for the baroka mounts just after the lock down I think the factory was closed because I had no reply, then they contacted me via email a week ago with the order I had placed, after confirming with them it could be sent i payed for the items next day got a confirmation they were with the courier and a tracking number.
At the moment still with the courier not sure how long it will take to get here but update you when I have received them.

Re: Borika Mounts for the Elling 350KB
I have recived my Borika mounts which was the transom arm, transom arm bracket, 2 rod holders, fish finder mount and 2 mooring cleats.
Very pleased with the service and delivery if I had to wait till they had them in the UK who knows, when I got in touch with Boatworld they had no idea when they were getting them.
I also have bought a Lowrance hook2 5 Splitshot with a C-Map Chart of Galicia/Portugal where I will be taking the boat when it is possible and where it will be used regular.
So a lot to learn and hopfully catch a fish or two
Will take some photos when the mounts are on the boat.

Re: Borika Mounts for the Elling 350KB
I have found a place that you can get the Borika Mounts the address and link is below could be of interest to you grey as you were wanting Rod holders.
UAB „Magnus ES“, Liepkalnio g. 83A, Vilnius
Web address ;- https://valciuparduotuve.lt/en/
If any of you want Borika attachment I can highly recommend this company, I have just ordered some more mounts and attachments and in less than a week they arrived each in there sealed borika plastics and a Borika boxed so it was not possible to be damaged in transport.

Plus when the attachment are in the mounts they are very secure.

Re: Borika Mounts for the Elling 350KB
Hi Grey
You wont go far wrong getting what you need from them on both occasions I have been very pleased with the communications and delivery, the only thing is that each order cost 20€ post but I dont think that is too bad as you can get what you want in your case the rod rests, I have 2 of them and very pleased with the quality.
Thanks for the map on where the slipways are, it is good to know where they are
Bob
