froglet,
my piece of wood goes up against the wheel leg bracket, drill down through the bracket hole for the pin & into the wood, drop pin in place so it goes into the wood & locks the wood in place stopping any swivel.

Ah yes I see. I searched the old posts and saw your photo.

The hose clamps on mine work well enough. The transducer no longer moves, even when run at top speed. The fact that I don't get any depth readings at top speed is a different matter entirely. But I think that's to be expected with the turbulence around the tabs at hoon factor 9.

No depth reading at higher speeds is normal with the Striker @Froglet. Lets face it you would already have gone over the seabed that it was reading at high speed, and if you were in pretty shallow water you wouldn't be doing higher speeds, probably. I strap mine to the tube as I'm not keen on having the launch wheels on the back when out. They get lashed up the front end "most" of the time and more often than not I'm stood in the water when I take them off and put them on. Again, not always though. The transducer is a quick release strap that I loosen and spin just before beaching. I'm happy as it is at the moment but if I change my mind in the future I shall probably ask that nice Mr @ChrisParish to make me one with my hard earned English pounds. :clappy :thumbsup :drive :waterski
I'm not really a Hobbit, just look like one. Real name is "Andy".

@ChrisParish I really like the look of the transducer mount - Do you know if there is one that would be suitable for a humminbird transducer?
