Hi All
I want to mount my Outboard Motor either to my tow hitch or swing away spare wheel carrier (land rover defender) for transporting cant seem to find anything when I do a search.
Anyone seen this done?

Yup, a modified tow bar mounted cycle carrier does just the job..

Ha Ha! I remember cobbling together one in a moment of madness many years ago utilising an old Thule bike carrier base.
Although tested and appeared immensely strong, never had the courage to use it. Just seemed so wrong to have me shiny new motor suspended out there, getting covered in road spray inviting to be rear ended.
Bizarrely could only find this night time pic.
Not totally wasted though as eventually recycled into a much more sensible trailer mounted jobbie

Just make sure you get one that is rated for the weight of you engine. The tilting ones look good as you can still get into the boot.

There was a member here a while ago that did a swinging, winch assisted mount for a 4WD.
