Stay Alert: as in don’t let your guard down, don’t get complacent, keep washing your hands, maintain social distancing.
Regarding returning to work - surely even a simpleton would realise that their first point of call would be their employer; don’t just get on the bus and go back to work expecting it to be open.
I utterly detest how 24 hour news and (anti)social media cause this churn of speculation and fear mongering, sowing seeds of confusion just to sell advertising (which is the whole purpose of commercial 24 hour news, not to keep people informed).
I am revolted by the way that politicians all point fingers and criticise, hedging their bets that the current solution won’t work just so that they can say “told you so! X was wrong and we were right” rather than giving the country a clear direction during a difficult time.
What happened to Keep Calm and Carry On? Obviously Carry On cannot mean keep going as if nothing is wrong, it means keep your head - tomorrow will follow today and this too will pass.
Don’t let the media and politicians sow discord and confusion among us. Follow the simple instructions we have been given and use the brains you were born with. No plan is perfect, but rather than picking holes in it see the message behind it: Stay alert. Stay safe.
And as of Wednesday - get out on your boats!
