T38 Transom wheels.
Awhile ago I bought a 3.8 meter Honwave with the trim tabs at the rear (the air deck version).
I read up on the transom wheels and ordered what I am pretty sure had been recommended.
Whenever I have used these though I find a bend inwards and outwards and allow the boat tilt or even tip, and generally make the boat a nightmare to launch.
I assumed I had bought a cheap version of the wheels but On checking now I found they have cost me £200.
Reading the description they say they are suitable for crafts up to 120 kg. http://vi.raptor.ebaydesc.com/ws/eBayIS ... spheader=1
Is there a set of trim tab transom wheels that will not band when launching a 3.8 meter Honwave?
Is there a version rated for more than 120kg?
Mine have non inflatable puncture proof wheels whereas the Honwave ones look like they have inflatable pneumatic wheels.
I don’t want spend a lot more and find I have the same issue.
At least I can try and use these ones to build some kind of try on some kind of bow trolley though.
Thanks In advance for any help.

Houston, we have a solution. Well, to be more precise, the Russian’s have.

I hadn’t read that, thanks Harrison.harrison wrote: ↑05 May 2020, 16:23Houston, we have a solution. Well, to be more precise, the Russian’s have.

I had seen them on eBay but had a flat set with a similar catch design on a past sib and they would sometimes collapse if bounced.
Have you managed to fit them yet?
Do they seem stronger?
I have been looking at a few of the Russian items (bow trolley, etc), maybe if ordered together so could save on postage.
Thanks

1. There is a small risk they could collapse, hence the bungee suggestion.
2. Not fitted yet as boat is an unused warranty replacement.
3. They seem immensely strong and seriously over engineered.
With all due respect, I would consider it more courteous if you could at least read the thread before asking inane questions.

Re: T38 Transom wheels.
I did read the thread, I was checking if you had fitted them since your last post although I suppose you will have been on Lockdown since then so not yet tested the boat.harrison wrote: ↑05 May 2020, 17:02Fishery Pokery wrote: ↑05 May 2020, 16:42had a flat set with a similar catch design on a past sib and they would sometimes collapse if bounced.harrison wrote: ↑05 May 2020, 16:23Houston, we have a solution. I am leaning towards a set of these and maybe the bow trolley they do ordered at the same time so I can save on the postage.
Thanks for your help and due respect Harrison.

Re: T38 Transom wheels.
No worries.
Cabin fever and too much wine is making me tetchy.
Apologies.

Re: T38 Transom wheels.
Apology not needed, your answer was really helpful and I am now really strongly considering the Russian option.
I can get the bow trolley and transom wheels for a similar price to new Honwave versions, especially if they combine postage.
The only thing putting me off is I don’t want to buy a second set to find they aren’t as much better as I hope they are.
I want to make launching as easy as possible so I use it as much as possible, which I haven’t up to now.
Thanks again for your advice.

Re: T38 Transom wheels.
Just for anyone else’s reading this in the future.
I emailed the Russian wheels vendor and asked what load they can take, they can take 130kg.
At first this bothered me as the other design can take 120kg and mine have ended up wonky.
I think though it is the round design of the usual trolley design that is the problem, not their weight loading.
I also asked about combining the postage on three items they sell, and the combined figure they gave me was more than just ordering the items individually, so worth bearing in mind if you order unless they made a mistake with the quote they give me.
I will post this on your thread @harrison as well for people reading that in the future.
