Bargain trolley?

Post by rogerblack » 21 Nov 2019, 10:40

Just been advised of this kayak trolley reduced from £100 to £39.99, wondered if it might be suitable to adapt as a launch trolley or else attached to painter ring to use in conjunction with transom wheels, looks fairly sturdy and seems a bargain:

(Those wheels alone are usually about £19 each!)

Any thoughts?

I have a kind of similar kayak trolley, bought for the wife’s Kayak. Brand new, never used because the kayak was carried everytime she used it. I once tried it as a bow trolley but it didn’t work. It kept flipping over.

I'm undecided on these trolleys - I have a similar one for canoe and find it the most ungainly thing to try and use....never seems to quite work at the right angle so falls over etc. Might just be me though :-(

I assume they come with straps, without they would be next to useless on any canoe or yak. I had the c-tug, or a version of for half the price and that worked great and folded up in seconds to fit inside. the hull.. The one above i don't think is designed to take apart like the c-tug but is of very similar design..

For forty quid that’s a bargain. :thumbsup

We have a C-Tug and even if it’s only half as good, it’ll still be good.

Bugger all use for strapping under your sib though. :no
