Steve,
Boat would have been supplied with a basic repair kit including a valve removal tool. Might be worth contacting seller or failing that I’m sure F-Rib would be able to help out.

Harrison, thanks for the vid, was so rushed I didn't get to watch it til now. I can see now its possible to clean it out without removing so will give that a try first as i'm sure its grit in there as I noticed some around the outer edges before inflating.. I can see now the tool i need if i need to remove it. but one thing at a time...
It didn't come with a tool but they look cheap enough to buy, if i need to replace the valve though I believe there are different types that may not fit the nut inside, but we will cross that bridge if and when..
I now have another problem, the tire went flat, the valve literally pulled out from the inner tube..

Re: F-rib 2.75, 6hp set-up.
So the valve has to come out, cleaning in situ didn't work.. Had a word with Steve Bruce and one of his guys at f-ribs who were very helpful and suggested removing the valve and soaking in wd40 so shall order up a valve removal tool and try that as pliers were risking damaging the fitting .. If I need a new valve then is seems they have those aswell...

So took the valve out, it was gunged up with sealant on the inside preventing the valve from fully closing, luckily the valve comes apart making it easier to peel out the sealant. all looks good now, no more hissing air..

Re: F-rib 2.75, 6hp set-up.
And now I have a 2017 yam 6hp for less than half of new price to go on the back so pretty well all set now.. It was a bit of an adventure picking it up, had arranged to pop over to weymouth from Basingstoke where we were staying with friends on saturday to see the engine running etc... unfortunately 5 miles away in atrocious weather, flooded roads hideous traffic jams the car went into limp mode with injector failure, i wasn't going anywhere. I phoned the guy and he offered to come out and take me back to see the engine etc but I suggested he just bring it out for me as the car was about to be recovered, the price low enough to take it on trust... bless him he did, and the deal was done in torrential rain on a flooded road with the breakdown service loading the car onto a transporter.. But I was happy

idk, it hasn't stopped raining and the sea hasn't been calm in weeks now so the frib is now in the bedroom for the winter.. The outboard didn't run died on anything over half throttle, carb stripped and cleaned spark plug replaced which did look rather sooty but not tested it as yet, too damn cold out there but fingers crossed..... When I do finally get out I'll let you know how it went..
