On-the-water leak repair?
Do you carry a patch kit that can be used on the water? Something temporary, just to get you back to shore? What works on PVC and is quick to apply? Thanks.

Not quite what you're asking for but I carry one of these:

Interesting device. It assumes the puncture is large enough, or requires you to make it so. It also assumes you have a way of reinflating the chamber.
What I had in mind was a way to temporarily repair a tiny hole from a fishing hook, before the chamber gets deflated. I may try Tenacious Tape

Re: On-the-water leak repair?
Let us know how you get on with it - looks similar to Tear Aid Type B for PVC/vinyl.

Not sure if those would work on wet surfaces though, also whether they'd have enough adhesion to resist escape from a chamber whilst pressurised?
My Honwave came with an emergency repair kit containing some patch pieces and single part adhesive, but I haven't tried to use it. For more permanent repairs I've always used two-part.
PS also just found this:

Re: On-the-water leak repair?
Also interesting, but it says it only works if it can wrap around onto itself, like around a pipe.
My plan is to carry a towel in my dry box in case I need to apply some tape. If the hole is below the water line, I'll be SOL

I use one of these and carry a spare on the other foot
I'm not really a Hobbit, just look like one. Real name is "Andy".
