Re: F-RIB 360 letting in water
Resurrecting this old thread with an update...
So, life got in the way and I didn’t get the boat to F-RIB HQ in Hamble until January. The F-RIB HQ guys there were quite slow at getting round to looking at the leak, but I wasn’t in a mad rush as the weather was still crap earlier in the year.
When they did, they found the issue was the plastic tube which the bolt passes through in the rear bulkhead had cracked. Apparently, a fault they hadn’t seen before.
The plastic tube can’t be removed from another boat without breaking it, so they’ve had to order the part from Russia. That was a few weeks ago now and they’re still waiting for the replacement part.
Annoying as the weather has started to get warmer again, although it’s good that F-RIB HQ are working to fix it.
I may actually put the F-RIB up for sale when I get it back as I’m contemplating a dark side purchase. Whilst I’d love to keep the F-RIB as it’s capability for something that conveniently fits in a car is astonishing, the considerably higher cost of a bigger (hard) boat will be hard to justify as a second vessel. We shall see

Just seen this. Thank you, and sorry for the very slow response! Sounds like a simpler fix, albeit it’s with the F-RIB UK guys now.
