Hi all - newbie here!
Hi everyone... long term reader of posts on here but I have just taken the plunge and ordered a Honwave T38 Airdeck today along with a 15hp Mariner (just missed out on the package Compo1804 was selling a few weeks ago). Completely new to all this (I have an inflatable Kayak that I paddle badly that is it!) - planning to do the RYA Powerboating Level2 in the coming weeks then get my boat out on Loch Awe after that. Apologies in advance for the numerous daft questions I will most likely be asking over the coming months/years! Cheers, Richard.

Re: Hi all - newbie here!
Hi @richard_thomson a T38ie with a 15hp is an awesome combination. I was out on Saturday doing a trip of 27 nautical miles in the company of several T38's and they are amazingly capable vessels. You are going to love it.
Just make sure you get the heavy duty aftermarket transom wheels, not the official Honda ones.

Hi Richard and welcome to Honwave ownership!
I saw Compo's sale listing and it did look good, but at least you've got yourself a new one on order!
Just out of interest, what kayak do you have?

Steve

Hi Richard,
Welcome to the madhouse, some great banter and occasionally, even some good advice to be found on here.
Sounds like you may have taken onboard some of this as you’ve gone for a cracking rig straight off. So good in fact just ordered nearly the same myself.
You’re based in a cracking area for sibbing, enjoy the new boat.

Thanks very much @harrison @Steve @chris moody
@chris moody First mistake - i ordered the Honwave wheels... oh well!
@Steve - its just a Sevylor Adventure I picked up on a random Costco trip a year or so ago. It has had a couple of SHORT outings around Balmaha and packs in my T5 van with ease

Re: Hi all - newbie here!
@richard_thomson just keep an eye on the Honwave wheels. They tend to destroy themselves after a couple of outings. You can then return them under warranty and buy the aftermarket heavy duty ones.

@chris moody Feel guilty now as perhaps shouldn’t have mentioned this on Richards thread. I’ll start a new one somewhere later.

Hi Richard. Welcome and I'm sure you'll be delighted with the T38. It's a cracking boat.
