Nah! Don’t be silly.

40 and 60 will be much more fun. :thumbsup

Besides no one will wait for ya putt! putting! around with a measly 20 horses.

PS: On a more serious note they need long shaft motors. Well certainly the 460 does anyway.

I personally would be wanting 30 - 40 hp on a 420 and 40 - 60 hp on a 460. So a :no from me. If it didn't have the weight of a console and seating you might get away with slightly less horsepower.

I'd be wanting 30 gees on the back at least..
It's a weight, handling vs power and economy thing...
Lots of homework imo.
F-RibsAndSibs.Com.... :whistle
Because it's a big old WWworld out there

Andy,

Joking apart a long shaft 20 would be doable on a 420 as long as it was tiller steer on an open boat with no console.
A bare 420 is quite light at just under 120kg, coupled with an efficient moderate ‘v’rigid hull, should go well one up. I would hazard with a Suzi efi 20 you’d see around 22-23mph on a good day. Add more weight and performance will tail off alarmingly.

All depends what you’re after really.
