Thanks!
It's got a Vengeance 11" 3 blade stainless prop fitted which might give it an extra knot or two. Not sure what pitch.
Our next outing will be from Gainsborough on the Trent going downstream towards the Ouse and Humber. Should be a nice day out. Need to make sure there's no tidal bore running that day though, I read it can be up to 6ft high running upstream at 15mph so a bit of a hazard for the unwary!
I intend to make a small perspex screen for the console soon, I'll post pics of the finished result here.

Re: Mercury Ocean Runner 420
Hi Paul yes loving the boat. Had doubts about not having the extra 10 horses but never mind. On the open sea 20 to 22 knots proves to be the most comfortable cruising speed and on one trip out of Salcombe we were running the engine vigorously all day and still only used 20 litres of CoOp's finest.
I got some nearly new water skis from EBay and I look forward to giving that a try again, hopefully there's enough power to pull me up we'll see. I also have a steerable towable inflatable, Airhead's Slash II is less power sapping than a regular donut.
After my last post I watched several 'Aegre's flowing up the river Trent. Impressive but no big deal or danger really. Unlike some Chinese ones lol.

Re: Mercury Ocean Runner 420
I’d vouch for that.
We also have a Slash II (great name) and could tow two teenagers with our 20hp sib on a good day.
The ‘victims’ think it’s great fun as well.
