The slip is quite narrow, but yes you could launch no problem, apart from on a low tide as the slip dries out on most tides, you just need to be careful as there is a lot of rocks either side of the slip, so when returning make sure you heading directly at the slip and not from an angle,
Ps the slips at Tralee holidays, Highfield is just up the road is owned by Tralee so you have access to it,

I visited there in May. I'd happily launch a 5.7m on that particular slip using a van but I'd take a long rope just in case you need to keep the van further up the slipway for better traction. Obviously you will need to plan your launch / recovery as it's not going to be possible at LW.

You've already got it Martin: a section for Camping Caravan/Motorhome boat launch sites, It just needs people to create a new topic for individual sites in that section.

cheers we have a week off starting the 3rd aug we were supposed to be going up past ullapool but plans may be changing and depending on the weather were not sure if we go north or south from home .we will be in the sprinter campervan and hopefully if we can find a place with launch facility's we will have the rib .but its all getting close times running out and its school holls so places are generally quite booked up

There's a site 3 miles North of Ullapool called Ardmair Point. Cracking campsite surrounded by water on 3 sides. There is a slip into the loch too. Great access to the Summer Isles weather permitting. I've stayed there many times and the view is awesome. From experience they're never fully booked.

This could be a good base for a few of us to go boating in company over a weekend
Looking at Google earth it looks like it dries out but what would you estimate the slipway useable times might be either side of low water please
BTW, noticed you've a Merc Ocean Runner set up, I've the smaller 4.2m version with a 40hp purchased this year and slowly getting her rigged to suit my 'needs' ...... any tips
