Bow seat, F-Rib 360

Found a nice sized piece of kitchen laminated splash-back, some memory foam, and a golf trolley waterproof carry bag lying around in the garage. Horrible wet and misty day so wondered if my idea for a bow seat would work. I had the boat in the garage anyway to clean and fold up ready for my Norfolk trip in 10 days time.
10 Min measuring and drawing lines on laminate, 15 min cutting, another 10 adjusting for a perfect fit and the base was done. Cut the foam and fixed with spray adhesive.
The trolley bags arse had fallen out but the zip on top was perfect, in fact when the zip was cut of it was the right size and shape - bonus. Spray glued the base and foam + cover and with a bit of trimming and tucking here and there it was done. Fits nicely and I can sit and lean back on the tubes (under the canopy if fitted and a rainy day!)

Like it Mike what a great idea, especially for just laying back and chilling or hiding under the canopy from the rain
I may well have a go at this but my upholstery skills are somewhat pants just ask the wife

Give it a go Paul, easy mod and cheap - very comfy too. Going to Wroxham in the Broads on the 4th for 5 Nights in a rented cottage, going to be spending many hours on the water fishing so may as well be comfy! Danny (dobro) is hopefully using my now repaired Honwave so we both have plenty of space for fishing gear. If anyone is ging to be in the area at all give me a shout, we could have a beer or two sat on the decking overlooking the Marina - spoilt actually there's one front and back of the rental! So fishing from the boat during the day then some pike fishing from the decking at night - BLISS

Would love to join you matey, however I'll be preparing for the Wild West Adventure on the West coast of Scotland at that time
As for the seat, I'll give it a go buddy but I don't think I'll post up the results TBH
Fishing by boat and then by night ....... well, that's just being greedy

Nice little mod there warder.
The bow seats are great for kids too, keeps my nipper safe and comfy, she loves it.

I had a look at this mod the other day and I was really impressed. It promises armchair comfort when you are drifting around with a line in the water. Only thing missing is a cup holder ... On a nice sunny day on the water, a little gentle rocking, the sound of lapping on the hull. You'll be off to dreamland in no time. Good job you'll have a trusty mate there in his somewhat less comfortable boat to waken you up when you get a bite or it's time to go home.
