The weight should be fine to hold it in place. Was more wondering when you do wave jumping and it lifting up and down.

I don’t want to upset your enthusiasm for the project Martin.. as that's not my reason for writing this ... but one thing to keep in mind is the rear end of your fibre glass box is possibly resting on the PVC hinge that holds the hull sections together ?

Im mentioning this as I made a duct board floor for my centre section.. it too has no room to move so I though it would be fine. It still is ..but after a season of use..all the small rubbing movements between the duct board floor and the PVC hinge ..caused by constant motion at sea ...has worn into the PVC at the high spots. Perhaps add an additional strip of PVC to either the fibreglass box or the hinge..where they rub together .. will help prevent wear. So saying.. the PVC hinge is not an important structural piece where the wear is on mine ... it just looks a tad unsightly :shame

My boat is still wrapped up for winter so I cant show a photo to illustrate ... so hope my description makes sense.

Its looking good so far though :thumbsup

Thanks for the comments guys and to Donny for the heads up. Thankfully I'd thought about that prior to starting the the build. Ive created it with a hand gap on all four sides to prevent rubbing/fouling and hopefully it's decreased size will allow fitment to the frib360 also... hopefully :LMT

I've had a few enquiries regarding where to get the lifting eyes/D ring/loop nuts from that you see on the bow and adjoining hull section bolts...

Here's a link to an eBay shop, these are the same as mine.

Credit to Paul as I nicked the idea from him :shame

I've been known to pass a little wind under the hull too, so it'll get thoroughly tested"
Ooh - that would be interesting to see - are you a contortionist who doesn't mind a wet bum? ;-)
Why am I here - I should be in my boat fishing!!

Any idea what size of these D loops lifting eyes I would need for the winch loop dome nut replacement, and also the main hull connection bolts for a 330?

TBH, I'd have to see them as I don't know if they're all the same size.
Mine (FRIB 375) are M12 for the hull bolts and M8 for the bow ring.

Thanks Martin, and good point. I'll take the bolts to a chandlery and see if they can tell me.

Yup, I can confirm that the M8 D loops will replace the dome nuts on the bow winch 'U' bolt bracket and the M12 D loop will replace the hull connection plastic 'wing' nut ...... on the 330 I believe you'll only need one unless the hull design has been modified by F-Rib :scratch
:cheers

Thanks Paul. My 330 is actually FRIB's original Winboat which had twin bolts.
