Re: Show us your outboards..
Think I got a bit carried away with outboards my first was a 9.5 evinrude but that was way underpowered for my 5m humber sib so I bought a 40hp mariner which I am hoping will be much better but then I went outboard crazy and bought a job lot because they were very cheap I think there are 11 in total I'll take some photos later when I get chance and make some room in the shed

Re: Show us your outboards..
Nice engine AndyB..but how do you get it indoors to service it in the warmth ?
My two strokes..because they are oily smelly things..are put in the doghouse during winter. Its a home made doghouse ..constructed from re cycled wood I collect from skips.
But I like to service all my outboards in the warmth of the house during winter... somewhere between the cooker ..washing machine and tumble dryer does nicely..as Im not so fussy that way. The stand is painted to look like a nice piece of Ikea furniture ..but in reality .. is again constructed from scraps other people have thrown away. I must have bought the paint at one time..but I couldn’t remember when or why ?
Oh..and because my Yamaha four stroke is a clean runner..and my favourite outboard.. I tend to spoil it a bit. It gets use of the spare room in winter. Well ... with the rest of the family flown the nest.. I need to pamper something :-D
I have other outboards ..somewhere ..but I cant remember where I stashed them at present.?
They turn up in the strangest of places.. I found the gear box off my old Yamaha 2HP is the sock drawer last year ..god knows how it got in there .. I can get a bit forgetful at times though.

Re: Show us your outboards..
Take the cowling off your 275hp Andy. I'm curious to see if any dancing girls pop out of it. And Gurnard I hope you got at least 600 thread count sheets on your yammi
I once dated a girl in High School and her Father told me I would never amount to anything. He was right!

Re: Show us your outboards..
To be honest Paul I have no idea what I'm going to do with them I'm keeping the 40hp mariner but the rest I bought very very cheap I just couldn't resist them. The missus wasn't too happy. Good job I've got a big man cave lol. Not sure if they are all running but when I get time I'll have a look at them and they will most likely end up on ebay
