It's free to launch you just pay to park.
I would say on all but spring lows you have about an hour either side of low water thats no go.
A good indicator is the shingle bar that runs parallel to the pier.
Its about 2/3rds away from the slip, if you can see it you ain't gon'a get on the bottom of the slip.
Good news for sibs though is that it's all hard shingle, I've walked it.
So with wheels you could say its full tidal.
There is also a jetty, a quick call on the radio and the HM will open the gate at the top for you.
Unless he's feeling grumpy! Then i just hop over it.....lol

Fantastic amount of info there Andy. If you do have a trailer do you have to buy two parking tickets or just one? (Lymington make you but a ticket for the trailer as well as the car)

So that's two new slipways I need to try, Lee on Solent and Hythe. Anyone know of any more good slipways?

Re parking.
No Chris the trailer bays are long enough to leave your trailer hitched even with the 9m (just!)
You just buy one ticket.

Hi we always use this slip way in hamble so314ha. Slip way free to use good all states howvever gets shallow at nottome so have to drive far out in low tide. Theres a floating jettie you can use in all tides for easy accses and a good car park although you have to pay. To top it all of there is a lovley carh next to cafe and many pubs.
