Honda T30 AE SIB

Post by Jimmy202 » 20 Oct 2023, 06:47

Hi all, just a few quick questions from a newbie to sibs (have experience with boats just not sibs)

I just bought the Honda T30 AE - rated 4 man.

1. The Manual says "do not sit on the tubes" is that just for safety? I will only have a 4HP on it and out in calm waters. Or is that because of the extra pressure from sitting on the tubes?

2. It has a seat that can be fitted either near the tiller or across the centre - is that for rigidity or can it be left out as it is a bit cramped?

3. I plan on taking 4 adults on it including myself - what do you think would be the best configuration? Me on the starboard tiller tube with someone opposite on the tube and 2 opposite each other nearer the bow (middle seat in or out) on the tubes...or me on the tiller seat and 3 on the floor cramped in a line...it's only for a 20 minute loch crossing.

Thanks in Advance.

Jimmy

That is a very small sib for 4 people. Yes you can Sid on the tubes. No the seat is not for rigidity and it can be left out.

Here is a video of our T35 AE3

And our T40 AE 3
