Hello there
Hello all and just a newbie here , just bought myself a sib which is an Avon typhoon S4-00 it’s got an alloy floor and that’s about it so need and engine etc on the Avon tag it says up to 40hp but do I go for 2 stroke or 4 stroke and what size hp ? Many thanks

Hi SwanseaSib, welcome aboard. 
Good two strokes are becoming a little rare, they are lighter than 4 strokes but noisier and far more thirsty on fuel.
Do you have a budget to work with ?
What’s your weight handling and storage ability for the outboard?
I’m guessing the sib is hypalon ?
You’ll prob find weight is the decider as 25hp two strokes start getting heavier than the 20hp 4 strokes.
