F-RIB Performance

Please to have found this forum searching for info on F-RIBS, have posted my intro post.

I am starting to read the historical threads but keen to know;

My reading suggests the F-RIB will plane easier than a SIB. My SIB has inflatable keel and deck. Been considering a Commando C3 due to its deeper And more rigid keel. Then found out about F-SIBs.

My underlying goal is to plane 2 adults and 2 kids with a 9.8hp 2 stroke until I have to step up to a 15hp.

Do F-SIB owners who have had SIBs have any conclusion as to if these boats plane easier when they are at the weight limit for the HP compared to a traditional SIB?

Also do people find the 3.3m can be manhandled solo in and out a van?

Hope this isn't too late for you. I have had an F-RIB 360 for just over 12 months. It fits in the back of my Mercedes E-Class estate but it is definitely a two man job getting it in and out, as is my 20HP Mariner which weighs around 47kg (15HP weighs the same as its basically the same engine which is why I went for the 20 - if I have to lift a 47kg engine it might as well have the extra 5HP). Obviously I cant comment on the 10HP but I would imagine planing would be no problem with 4 adults, it might take slightly longer than my setup but I'm sure it would be fine. I almost never use full throttle and find it planes really easily with 4 adults. If I do use full throttle its instantly on plane and quickly becomes a white knuckle ride!

@Pav - sorry for the late reply, I'm shocked many of us have missed tghis thread.

I have a Frib 375 and its on the plane very easily even compared to my old Honwave T38 which was about as good as a sib gets.
The air floor and inflatable keel boats are very low in planing ability compared to the likes of a deeper V sib such as the T38ie, Bombard or Excel Volaire.
An F-rib 330 should be magageable i'd have thought without issue.
