Where do you want to visit by boat this year

Post by chris moody » 14 Jan 2019, 08:26

Is there anywhere you have always wanted to visit by boat but for some reason not gone there yet?

Is there anywhere you have been by boat that was fantastic and you want to go back?

Let’s make a list of exciting places to visit by boat this year.

well, this year i want to finnaly do some more exploring in desperate seeing as shes moored in goole the options are...

1st i'd like to get up the east coast up to Scarborough and Whitby.
2nd i'd like to explore the Trent down to Torksy then on to Lincoln.
3rd down to Wells-next-the-sea.

i really need to stretch her legs this year as i've played it safe for too long.
If it has t*ts, tyres or floats......it's gonna cost ya!

I really don’t know where there is to go, if that makes sense.
I would like to make more of the Jurassic Coast as it is pretty much on my doorstep.

I’d also like to head up to the west coast of Scotland. We went to Mull when I was a kid and i’d Love to go back.
Not a complete idiot - some parts are missing.

Subject to weather and sea state we could do Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door by sib. Probably easier launching from the Portland side as Peveril Ledge and St Alban Head would be a bit challenging in a sib

I fancy exploring the island of Lismore and Loch Creran when I go up to Scotland in May.

Another one for the West Coast of Scotland. No excuse as not a million miles away in the north east. Just need to make the effort.

Unsuccessful thus far, but I’m gonna try again this year to muscle in on the Scottish sib trip in me little rib...could do with a guide in uncharted waters. ;-)

Weather permitting we will try and get round both in May , Not a great deal to do in Creran, but we can call at a nice wee pub near the top :cheers

I’m happy to skip loch Creran, and go with other suggestions based on your local knowledge @Paul B
