Lymington to Cowes 2018

Post by ChrisParish » 11 Jan 2019, 00:55

Hi folks!

I have been going through the video I shot this year and cobbled together a few short clips.

This is from a trip from Lymington to Cowes back in July 2018. We set out just to go to Yarmouth, but the weather was great so we kept going!

Enjoy!

Chris,

Thank you for the video. It's -8C here in Michigan and the ground like most of the small lakes is covered in ice. The Great Lakes are still open but it is way to cold for me out there. That is why your video is so important while I endure another 3 months or so of no F-ribbing!

We certainly were! The ride back was bumpy but not too bad, all things considered - We didn’t have to drop to displacement speed, we planed the whole way

The slip is very steep but is is well maintained and made from concrete. There is ample parking provided you arrive early!
I can’t remember what the fees are, but they aren’t massive.

If you are planning on going out to the needles for some cod then drop me a line as I would like to join you if I am free. I work shifts so I am often around in the week.

I found this video of the inshore lifeboat launching from Lymington. You can see what the slip is like.

Ok Chris, it would probably be best if you decide when to go as I’m free most days.
Not sure I’d want to haul me boat fully loaded up the slip on my own but with 2 people probably wouldn’t be a problem.

Hi guys, I might be up for this if I am not doing anything and the weather is right.
I do have to fit a few rod holders, something I have been meaning to do for ages.
I could do with trying out a few coloured weights I was given, and a few new bits for predatory fish ! :fishing
