I'm still alive...

Post by Andy B » 10 Jan 2019, 21:06

Haven't posted in a while, but i'm still popping in every now and again.
Been very busy with one thing and another. The run up to Xmas is always a nightmare with people wanting their houses finished

Anyway, things are starting to ease up a bit and the boating looks like it's back on! :yay
The Trophy is almost ready for the water when the weather warms up.
At the moment it's still at my place with a bilge heater looking after the engine.
There's no power where she's going and while it's cold i don't want to risk it!

The Zodiac is all packed away as i have something else on the trailer at the moment,
but more on that in a minute. :D

Also the SunSport is ready for some micro Sibbing in the summer.
A few of us have mentioned in the past about some fun river trips in the summer with sub 5hp sibs.

All engines sold apart from the ones i have jobs for.
Haven't really had time this winter to stock up on good second hand OB's.
And anyway i fancy a bit of a change in my tinkering this year.

Which brings me to my latest acquisition! 8-)
Picked up this 4m Humber at the weekend.
I'd put the word out that i was on the look out for a 4m RIB project,
Bare boat, blank canvas sort of thing....
This popped up on Facebook and was forwarded to me by Niel H.
Anyway, short story.... 230 miles later and one pheasant impaled through my near side front fog light
and i'm now in possession of a 4m Humber with an interesting history...

Sounds like interesting plans and good luck with the RIB.
Like the idea of some sub 5hp river trips ... any ideas where yet?

That's the beauty of the micro sibs It can be anywhere with very little fuss.
One bag boats with super light engines. No worries about how to get it in the water.
just pump it up, chuck it in and go..... :thumbsup

I’m up for some microsib trips. I have a 3.1 zodiac and a 5hp mariner which would be ideal.
Not a complete idiot - some parts are missing.
