David, let us know how the 6hp performs compared to the 4hp.

A bright coloured spray hood is a great idea to make you more visible.

Honda BF50 4 stroke on the Ribcraft
Honda 2hp 4 stroke air cooled (the one I bought off you) for displacement sibbing
Tohatsu 9.8 2 stroke for planing speed (Drive It Like yoU Stole It) sibbing.
Suzuki 2.5hp 4 stroke currently sitting in the garage with blocked idle jets on the carb

The first three are long term keepers. The fourth one I need to get my backside into gear and sort out the carburetor, then sell it.

Glad to hear the Honda is still going. I've just stripped and cleaned a 2hp Suzuki carb.... ;)

Yamaha F6 Outboard.jpg
Hi Martin. No, I had to collect it from Cheltenham ( live in London) and haven't had a chance to use it yet. Its in good mechanical nick with only a few hours use being a 2015 model. It was shown working.

I expect it to plane at 15 knots if Gurnards videos are anyting to go by, he has such a motor on a 2.7 Frib, and I have a Honwave T27.

An air floor sib such as the T27ie will be slower than a rib / f-rib with a solid hull with the same powered engine
