Hi there. Bob Amos from Southern California.

Noob in SoCal. Hi all. While I am not as much into these boats as many of you, I have recently purchased an Intex boat so that my wife and I can enjoy the water ways that we camp at with our vintage travel trailer and hammocks. We needed something that packs up small and light enough to take with us but not too expensive. I know some will look at these boats as toys when compared to the high dollar items available. But it was this or nothing at all as I was not going to spend a ton of cash on something that I wanted to try out first. I do hope to develop some friendships here and share experiences as well as learn from those of you willing to share and help... Looking forward to some great interchanges with many of you. Bob Amos

Hi Bob... Welcome to Fribs & Sibs :wavey
The Intex range are available in the UK too, I believe they're mainly for river and lakes use & they certainly seem popular among some families.
Do you have an outboard of sorts attached Bob or are you on the manual propulsion ?

Great to have you aboard and we'd love to see some pics as and when you can... :thumbsup

We all start somewhere - and on here, well we pride ourselves on the "no such thing as a silly question" - So ask away and hopefully we can assist you.
Enjoy your new purchase. :clappy

Martin :cheers

Hi Bob and welcome. My mate Danny (Dobro on here) started out with 2 Bestway 2 man inflatables, we called them the plastic bubbles - my wife called them paddling pools! we had lots of fun on small Lochs here in Scotland !!!
We enjoyed it so much we saved and bought a Waveline 2.9m wood floor inflatable and eventually added a Yam 5hp 2 stroke after a near disaster struggling in a following sea with an old Seagull outboard. As said by Martin, we all start somehere
Why am I here - I should be in my boat fishing!!
