I fully expected just being able to chuck the SIB into the Pick-Up and pay the usual parking fee for the beach and just chuck the boat in the sea
Apparently not.
You must register your vessel with Gwynedd Council, There's an annual subscription for your vessel, and I.D plates are given, which must be displayed above the water level on both sides of your boat. See Here for the registration fee's
A registration with Gwynedd covers you for Conwy and Anglesey too. If launching from Black Rock, it's a £13 daily fee to cover parking & boat launch. Other sites will have their own charges.
Just a few pointers,
A Kill Chord is compulsory & must be signed on the boat, in view!
£3million third party insurance is compulsory
You must be 18 or over to use a power boat, or have levels I or 2 RYA (personal water craft certificate of competence)
