Picked this up today, a little Mercury Ocean Runner 340

Built in 2016 and found languishing in a sorry state at the back of a dealership. Never seen water but touted around many boat shows in its lifetime so a bit grubby and a few battle scars on its hull, but nowt serious. Took a punt and made a silly offer. Bought as ex-demo, registered as first owner and comes with a full 2 year Mercury Warranty.

It’s tiny, it’s gonna give a harsh bow high ride, but should go like shit off a shovel with 20 horses hanging off the back.

Fingers crossed it’ll be a worthwhile addition to the fleet. :whistle

So are you retiring the T38 or is this an “as well as” boat?
Not a complete idiot - some parts are missing.

Jury’s Out as yet, until I’ve got it wet.

Whilst fast, realistically not expecting it’ll be anywhere near as able as a T38 in the chop. Reckon at best it’ll be a bouncy fast n furious rock hard ride. :drive

Tempting though to sell a ‘brand new in the box’ T38. Interested :?: :?:

I did a fairly long run last weekend and after 5 and a half hours sitting in the sun my hips were hurting. I would dearly like a proper seat. Looking into potential solutions.
If I had a driveway I think I would have a 4.5-5m ish rib as well as the sib.

@sonny1, yes mate still want the radio if that’s ok. Might be best to post...we can sort it out by pm.

Not sure when we’ll be down south tbh. More keen to get up north to our coastal retreat if this fecking lockdown ever ends.

Raining and windy here today so perfect excuse to mess around with new toy, instead of carrying on with some real work....rebuilding one of me chimneys. :whistle

So, adjusted bunks on trailer, mounted motor, and generally faffed about. All seems kosher, so might christen it with a river run on Monday/Tuesday. Hoping for a quiet stretch to give it some wellie. :drive
