Best fabric for a spray dodger?

Okay got it so 6mm is best and 1.5m witll be enough to cover the 1650mm total width obviously with elastic clips included into that? If that is the case 2m it is then. May even make some detachable spray deflectors for the rear transom as even with spacers i had to remove mine for the launch wheels.

Oooooh 1 last brain pick i see on martins spray deck i think.....some little plastic hooks for the rub strake are they from pacer martin? Or fleabay specials?

Yes Matt, They're called Rib / Sib rub strake hooks... These are the same as Paul linked to and exactly what i use with my 8mm bungee cord, a whole load cheaper for 10 on Amazon...

Yup gotta agree with Paulb there Matt.
The thicker poles don't like bending within the the confides of a Sib's beam - they do like to split.
It's worth carrying a spare tent pole section should one snap.

I had similar problems when making mine.
I found that by introducing a slight bend into the connecting tubes it reduced the amount of strain on the poles considerably.

A simple but effective mod is to wrap the tent poles in electricians tape. It strengthens them slightly but certainly stops splinters occurring !!!

I did similar Andy, i kept my tent poles as is, but created an angled mount for the railblaza fittings.. Works great so far, even during my flying sessions on WWA 2017

I found some hooks on ebay and got 7 for £10 delivered. Just irdered my material from flea bay (the stuff paul linked me too) i got 3m so i can make the rear spray covers.

Just need to work out how to mount the pole next. I have seen a mount very similar to your martin on ebay but its a glue patch.....i may be able to do something with wood but ill have a think
