dont sell your boat

that was the plan ian but the few i rang about would only allow a very limited range , not suitable at all. any available boat shares in the solent limit use as far as the needles to the west and west wittering to the east. so plan b is try and conjure up the funds for another of my own. to be honest someone a while ago , @Bigplumbs i think told a tale of when he broke down towing and the horrendous cost of getting trailor and boat home, it worried me as my trips where always getting on for 300 miles round trip and i didnt enjoy towing one bit since reading that , hence the boatshare idea , but i should have done a bit of research first ... hey ho

Oh man.... I do feel for you. I only thought any your xs the other day when I chatted to a chap with the same set up. ( hopefully not the actual boat 😞 ). It was always a long day for you... but let the breakdown insurance companies worry about the breakdowns. ...

There will always be a way to get out on the water..... if you ever want a rib for poole area let me know. I know if a few that are 'possible' for you 😉

hiya ian @harrison . to be fair he is asking the right money , i cant bleat about it , i asked at XS what i should sell it for and based on what they told me i went ahead , the current owner paid close to what i asked , i have to grudgingly say good luck to him . when i realised what i had done in selling , i rang him to see if he would sell back to me , at that time ( about 10 weeks ago ) he didnt want to sell , so on a tip off from @PeterM i bought my current boat , which it turns out may not be all as the advert claimed, however, the owner who is now selling my old boat text me a few days ago saying he was selling , was i still interested. im not . in short ,hes got it somewhere near right ( price) i got it horribly wrong , bad advice. a lesson learnt .
