Re: Outboard choice of these 3
Would imagine all suitable for your sib in terms of power and weight.
That 9.9 Mariner looks pretty smart, and whilst not cheap, is from a dealer (historically some mixed reviews around) and comes with the benefit of a limited warranty. If it’s the 36kg model with tiller gear change (some like, some hate) then a sought after model, and again easily converted to 15hp with a carb change.
Mind you, reckon @PeterM’s Yamaha 9.9 for sale on here, now at £1000, would be a better buy.

Cheers Harrison
Thanks for your help, seller says the mariner is 34kg not sure about gear change on tiller though, didn’t know you could easily upgrade it to 15 hp so that will probably swing it for me, yea seen the yam for sale on here but to far away for me and mariner although not cheap has free postage
Thanks again

Re: Outboard choice of these 3
If converting to 15 is a dealbreaker then best check with dealer first as 34kg seems a bit light. Depending on year and Merc/Mariner brand seem to recall they could be either 200 or 260cc blocks. Assume it will need to be the 260cc block to be upgradable…new carb body/jetting and possibly exhaust plate change I think.
Fingers crossed.
