Here is a good shot that shows the spacer in place:
Not a complete idiot - some parts are missing.

Re: What Prop for my Suzuki DF20A?
Got out on the boat today and tried out the new prop.
Night and Day Difference! The hole shot (especially two-up) is incredible, the boat feels much more lively, I am able to sit further back without cavitation and when loaded up with four adults it still hops up on the plane without any problem whatsoever. When I compare this to having to use full throttle to get out of the hole one-up this is incredible.
Well worth the £100 for the new prop. Very very happy.

Re: What Prop for my Suzuki DF20A?
Awesome day. Went out from Baiter in Poole, picked up some family from the beach hut at Shore Road and took them out to see the cruise ships moored in the bay.
We then went over to Old Harry Rocks.
Great day.

It can do about 25 knots, so it’s no slouch!

Re: What Prop for my Suzuki DF20A?
Hi folks, great thread, read with interest.
Is this only worth doing on the larger HP motors or is it something I should consider on my 3.3m SIB with my smaller 6hp? I need to raise my Suzuki on the transom as the AC plate is too low, but I’m trying to understand how to interpret the rpm readings from my tacho in terms of maximising bang for my buck from the DF6AS.
Should the motor always be able to reach maximum RPM but not achieve max speed if the boat is heavy with two or three people? Or is it just about achieving max RPM when I use the boat at its lightest?
Any guidance or directions to further reading much appreciated, I’ve been googling and it seems very complex at face value.

Re: What Prop for my Suzuki DF20A?
I think I'm in the same boat (crappy pun I know)...
Out over the last few days and up to 4700rpm at WOT, 3 up with the trim in the second hole. Is it worth trying different trim positions, or do I need a new prop?
If so, is it this one?

Thanks!

Re: What Prop for my Suzuki DF20A?
Did you know Steel Developments will give you one free prop adjustment? Peace of mind in case you change your mind or find the 10" isn't quite right. Mine's with them right now, they only charged for the return postage. Really happy with the Solas.ChrisParish wrote: ↑12 Jun 2020, 10:34OK. I have ordered a 9.25 x 10 Solas prop from Steel Developments. Just over £100 delivered, but I didn't want to go for an unbranded prop as I have heard bad things regarding quality and performance.
Pictures of the prop change to follow when it arrives some time next week (I hope)
