Weekday or Weekend outings?
Looking to hopefully suggest a couple of outings from the Christchurch area in June,
Are most limited to weekends with work?

Re: Weekday or Weekend outings?
I need to look into tides etc, but would like to suggest a run out starting from Christchurch, down through the harbour past Mudeford, heading east towards Poole, past Old Harry Rocks to Swanage to anchor for some lunch. Depending on fuel level and timings, possibly explore some more of the coastline further east, before heading back to Christchurch to finish. Would be 35ish miles without any extra bits.

Sounds like a good run to me. I’ve only been out through Christchurch harbour to the sea once but I am keen to do it again.

Re: Weekday or Weekend outings?
The channel out of the harbour has changed location over winter, now cutting across what was the old sandbar. Charts such as Navionics haven't been updated to this as far as I am aware. Once back in the area, I will check it out for depth at various tides, so far I've only used the new channel about 2 and a half hours after low tide. I've been told that in my boat (draws 0.6m ish) I should be fine 1 and a half hours after low tide, but will be testing depth from the kayak first...ChrisParish wrote: ↑16 May 2021, 20:03Sounds like a good run to me. Re: Weekday or Weekend outings?
Saturday 26th June looks to have suitable tides for this trip. Enough water to get in and out of Christchurch anytime from 8am through to 4pm. Lets hope for decent weather, and I''ll check ive nothing else planned for that day

Hi @@sonny1 what is the draught of your rib? Will take into account for times leaving Christchurch harbour to be on the safe side
