Crash for cash Phil..
Unfortunately it's the latest craze, folk in old bangers jumping on the brakes on front of you, you hit them, your at fault, they claim damages/whiplash ... It's the way of the world these days.
Another scenario, you enter a large roundabout with box junctions on, some bugger pulls in front of you at the last moment and you end up in a box junction, you can get fined for that as many boxes now have Camera's on.
If you can use your video to show you'd have been clear of the box, you might just get away with it..
Plenty more reasons, as a HGV chemical tanker driver, I see unbelievable things.
Driving standard in the UK is abysmal now. Get a camera, saves your pocket pounds in the long run !

After a little research I came across the Veho Muvi camera which comes with ALL the fittings, remote release and a waterproof case for £200 or less when you look around. Tests on youtube showed it to be on a par with GoPro but each make has slightly different colour hues when looking at the end result.

I am now retired so it is on back burner so didn't buy one but here are some details. Go Outdoors sell them at £160 every now and again for the full kit. Well worth a look

Phil
I have and use one of these for all of the stuff I have done - even strapped it to the engine leg for some underwater shots !

Always been good and reliable for me as I cant justify the gopro costs and when I have used them I struggled with the buttons to get it to work in the right mode ...( think its my age ! )

The GoPro is king without a doubt, but I like some of you others refused to pay the GoPro prices..
But at £150 with a free spare battery, the hero silver 3+ is a bargain.
