Yes, it's bulky!
The load space must be pretty rectangular - no intrusions like wheel arches etc. The boat by itself could probably fit into many estate/SUV car boots but only the bigger ones can fit the outboards in too. Or you'd have to put the OB on the front passenger seat possibly instead. An OB in a roofbox sounds a bit top heavy although my 3.5hp is about 23kg.
I just like the 4x4 mentality of sailing somewhere and then using the OB to get back quickly. It rows ok too, so maybe you wouldn't need an OB.

Re: Sailing foldable RIBs/SIBs
Hi,
do you know the MiniCat 420 http://www.minicatamaran.eu/catamaran-b ... ilboat-420? It might have the best sailing performance of all "sailing SIBs". You can mount a small Outboard up to 3hp...

Re: Sailing foldable RIBs/SIBs
That looks interesting - too wet for me though! Should be good sailing ability and much lighter than the 460S so probably suit the OP better.
I'm buying a Mariner 20hp efi though for when speed is needed, not sailing....
