Dunno to be honest. All my oem Mercury props have the product code stamped on. I seem to recall the oem prop on our Tohatsu 9.8 only had the pitch stamped on the back of a blade though.
Would have thought the propeller mark from the table below would be on the prop somewhere.

Re: What pitch 420 mercury
Had a little play with the 13 and 12 pitch props today. Not perfect conditions , a bit of wind chop. I took my 15 year old daughter along.
12 pitch first .No fishing gear ,bait ,pack lunch or flask on board and on my own with original 12 pitch 22knots then hit limiter.
With my daughter on board similar speed but still hitting limiter.
13 pitch prop 2 up 23 knots around 6000 revs no beeping.
On my own 24.5 knots 6100 revs no beeping. Max rev range up to 6250 so ideal.
Dead flat no wind might squeeze a bit more out speed wise , but I am happy with knowing the engine is working in it ideal range.
So I will purchase a genuine 13 pitch prop which will stay on the engine 99% of the time, should I end up with more then 2 on board I will swap prop to the 12 pitch.
I noticed that the 2nd hand 13 pitch prop I bought was stamped 9.9x13, but the oem is stamped 9.6x13, dont think that will change things dramatically
