Hi adventure06 and :welcome to the forum

Sorry to read about your PRV failure and I'm sure it gave you quite a shock/worrying 'moment' :eek
There have been a couple reports of small leaks due to poor fitment/adhesion of the PRV assembly to the PVC sponsons but yours is the first report of complete failure :o
If the boat is new then return it or if second hand wouldn't a replacement valve be a quicker/cheaper option  in addition by patching over these valves could this action devalue or put off any future buyers if you come to sell on in the future
The PRV's were a selling point to me having used the boat in Spain and France where their fitment was invaluable .... however I can't recall their operation boating in and around the UK, clocking up some 300+ hours afloat during my ownership :| so maybe that's where you're basing your decision to patch over them :|
With regard to the lack of fixing/tie downs ... utilisation of current fixing points within the hull was the route I chose to take using 'D' rings

Just my 2p ..... it's your boat, your way to make it 'yours' :thumbsup
:cheers
Hi Paul,

Could you please provide some info about your eyebolts, they are M6 or M8?
Thanks for your time.

I now have this problem with 1 of my pressure relief valves leaking around the edge. Can someone tell me if I need a special tool to unscrew and reseat the valve? Is it the Halkey Roberts Wrench tool I need? Cheers

I actually managed to find a tool that “fitted” the valve. It was a universal angle grinder disc removal tool I had. The two pins either side of the valve manage to unscrew it.
Then I removed the silicone behind it and tightened it back up tight. This fixed the leak and have left it up for a few days now to check :yay

Leaks around valves and prv are more common in small tubed boats as they can't bend to meet the smaller radius tubes comp to big tubes in 6m plus ribs.

Glad to hear the standard undo tidy and tighten seems to have worked.
