FRIB filling up with with water
Hello everyone,
My Frib 375 fills up with water within an hour from being pumped out.
My first thought was the drain plug, however I don’t see anything coming in from there so now I’m thinking it’s the fiberglass, seems, or that rubber strip on the bottom.
Any ideas on how to remedy this problem?

Re: FRIB filling up with with water
Is it coming in via the bolt holes? I recall some other people having problems with this.
@Martin might be able to help.

Re: FRIB filling up with with water
Just a thought - Make sure that the washer on the rubber joining blocks (?name of part!)is behind the wing nut and not up against the hull at the join. I once installed one back to front when in a hurry and could not believe how much water got in.
Why am I here - I should be in my boat fishing!!

Re: FRIB filling up with with water
You guys are awesome I think that may be the problem at the bolt holes. I hadn’t thought of that but it makes sense and I know I’m missing a wingnut and tried to just put a random bolt on. I Was thinking of the bolt holes more as a structural piece meant for collapse prevention and not about taking in water.
Well that may have made my winter project easier

Re: FRIB filling up with with water
Hi
I have been assembling my F-Rib as shown below. Is it correct?
Bolt + Washer + Rubber Bushing Hull Hull Rubber Bushing + Washer + Wing Nut
The Rubber Bushing seal to the hull on both sides while the Washers distribute the force provided by the Bolt and lock washer.
