Re: weekend
Hi Sonny, thinking about Poole harbour on Sunday.
Just looked at the tide table, the high tide is 10:30 and 22:30 on Sunday, I don't know about other people but I found that retrieving on low tide is very problematic, I do not have a trailer. I have seen a video about the Baiters slipway, and if I am correct, are there many pointy rocks next to the concrete slipway if the tide is out. I recently upgraded to a 20 HP outboard from 6 HP so the weight plus the Honwave T40 is more than 100 KG, any tips here that I can make the retrieve smoother would be very appreciated!

Re: weekend
Hi,
I presume you have launch wheels on your T40? I have launched and recovered my T38 from baiter many times at all states of tide. Here is what I do:
Put the wheels down while still a distance out from the slip
Come in slowly until the wheels touch and then get out of the boat
Pull the boat into the shallows so it can’t float off if there is a large wave
Move everything out of the bow and down to the stern to make the bow lighter.
Pull the boat up the slip and into the car park
I use a pair of padded kite handles like this Which I attach to the bow handle with a carabina to make lifting and pulling the boat much easier.

Not a complete idiot - some parts are missing.

Yes I have the Honwave T40 launch wheels installed and these wheels are very large so it should help.
I have launched and recovered from the Littlehampton slipway a few times, and the most challenge part I found was recovered from low tide where the soft muddy bed would pull the wheels down as the weight of the boat + aluminium floor and outboard (just realised the benefit of the air floor!) I always grab the handle under the bowhead and hand-pulled the boat from the muddy bed, and I hurt my muscle once when trying very hard!
