Itiwit vs Bravo + battery

I use the itiwit, it is slow as, I use the foot pump along side it. And can normally blow 1 side tube and the front up with the foot pump while the itiwit does 1 tube. Finish them and the floor off with the itiwit.

You could always grab a couple of lilo / air bed pumps to do the low pressure part. I used one once upon a time to inflate my zodiac and it was quicker than the footpump but had no high pressure stage at all.

45 minutes is crazy - I can be fully set up and half way to the Isle of Wight in that time.

That thing inflated the rest of the boat while a bravo did just one tube! I don’t think it can hit the high pressure for the floor though

Thanks, great information. I don't fancy a 45 min wait. I thought the bravo ge20/21 at £150 since it had charger, battery and pump together, might be a runner but not sure how many litres per min. Good to know the itiwit can inflate beyond required t38 floor pressure.

The bravo ge20/21 is a single stage pump putting out 160l/m
The btp12 is a twin stage pump, putting out 450l/m of air.
In practical terms the BTP12 is almost three times faster than any of the single stage piston pumps but it means you have to buy a separate battery.
A 7ah lead battery will cost you about £15 and the same again for a charger.

Had a few pumps over the years and this is my current line up. All at least 4 or 5 years old and all still going strong pumping up sib’s, rib’s and sup’s.

Most used and favourite by far is the yellow Genova...fast 2 stage 500 l/m, digital gauge, internal rechargeable battery and mains charger. Much prefer this to the Bravo. Both stupidly costly at £130+

Genova Speedy GP80BD 12psi Internal Battery

The Bravo below is still good with 450 l/m output and rechargeable internal battery, but no gauge (switches off at pre-set setting) and only get car charger lead with pump. Poor they can’t include a mains charger in the box...easily fixed though.

Bravo BST800 12psi Internal Battery

The Sevylor is perhaps very similar to the Itiwit in size and function, but with a much higher single stage compressor output of 190 l/m as opposed to the measly 50/75 l/m of the Itiwit. Run off car accessory socket (15a) only, but easy to add and connect a 12v 7ah battery as found in the other two. Odd functional looking but ergonomic and easy to use impressive little pump with digital display for the price. Think this was £39 from Decathlon...a bit more now sadly.

Thanks for the replies. Great info and experiences shared. There's a lot to consider. Things like the Itiwit 50/75 output I think will be too slow. I like the set up of the rechargeable bravo, but much slower than the 2 stage bravo that needs a battery. ( on an extended camping trip with the SIB I might not be able to recharge the stand alone battery ).

I run mine off a car battery and it pumps my boatworld 330 Pro in about 15 mins. I just charge the battery before each outing.

There is no way inflating my t38 takes 45 mins mind you I do use 2 itiwits at once as they are so cheap and also nice to have a backup
