Im considering going out next week one day if you free. I can launch from Warsash so no biggy. Only question, is there parking.adventure06 wrote: ↑15 May 2019, 20:39Cheers Shaun, I'd appreciate that. I live near Stokes Bay in Portsmouth but I launch from Warsash. I'm wondering if the extra expence would be worth the extra sea going capability over the 360. I quite often clock up 50 miles plus when I go out from Warsash, Sandown, Witterings etc. I've also had my fair share of unexpected inclement weather whilst out on the Solent. My engine and trailer are also new so I didn't want to have to replace everything for the sake of a bigger boat.

Yes there is. You can launch your boat and then pop your car into the car park around the corner. It’s all free
Not a complete idiot - some parts are missing.

Re: Flat floor and storage for FRib 360
Boats finally finished.
The extra weight the floor has added to the boat has made the boat less slammy in the rough stuff. It's also nice to have a flat floor to move about on.
I'm pretty happy with the bow cushion made by Comfort Afloat in Gosport. I have a nice area for enjoying the sun now especially when the two seats are slid forward.
Anchor problem also sorted by a storage box made from the left over off cuts.
One thing I wish I had done though is made the floor out of 18mm marine ply. The cost would have added about £150 to the cost of the build
(current spend £125 and about 40hrs of my own labour)? I have used 4 coats of waterproof paint and treated the edges so hopefully I shouldn't have any problems? The water does collect in the void beneath the floor which I sponge out after each use.
The boat still packs down to be transported without a trailer. The boat and floor assembly takes about 25 minutes if I'm on my own to assemble using a bravo pump.
Thought I'd post this review just in case anyone wants to take on a similar project?

Your results are amazing!
I will be interested in how well the side gap and pipe foam work in protecting the tubes. It might be an interesting project for later this summer on my F-375. Thank you for all the pictures!

Re: Flat floor and storage for FRib 360
Cheers Alan,
I've traveled about 100nm without any rubbing on the tubes at all. (I did have a little on the bow cover-tubes but that was easily dealt with by taking a few tenths off. I had a small amount though on the hinges above where you bolt the frib together. I've overcome this problem by gluing rubber tap washers to the underside of the floor. This has stopped the rubbing I did have.
Ive left approx 1/4" gap around the flooring and the tubes. My frib I noticed isn't identical on the port and starboard side so that took a little time to get right? I haven't glued the foam in place as the inflated tubes holds the floor and foam inserts in place and theres no movement when you hit the rough stuff, at least not yet
? It also gives me the option of replacing the foam when it gets compressed? If you decide to make a floor for your 375 and you encounter any problems give me shout and I'll see what I can do?

Re: Flat floor and storage for FRib 360
Thanks! I just got back from Lake Huron where the boat is stored. Unfortunately my first project is fixing the shed it is stored in. The winter snow and spring storms did me no favors this year.

Sorry to hear that Alan. Hope the repairs go well and not too much damage was caused?
