What items of safety kit do you keep in your dry bag?

Post by chris moody » 12 Mar 2019, 18:59

Whenever I go boating I take a dry bag with me that contains safety equipment that I may need. This stays inside the boat and is clipped on so it cannot fall out of the boat. What items of safety kit do you keep in your dry bags? Who's going to start the list off?

Wow that's a great tool kit you carry @ChrisParish. I might have to steal some of those ideas.

Wow very impressed, I was expecting to see a huge holdall as big as the boat but you seem to have put together a really useful but sensible SIB sized bag.

Thanks! It straps under the seat so it is completely out of the way onboard.
You can just see it in this picture.

I usually have a 5L drybag that goes with me on any boat I'm on.....get nervous if its not there! Off the top of my head it has: tape, cable ties, handheld gps, spare old fashioned prepay mobile, suncream, water, snackbar, handheld compass, knife, spare killcord, multi-tool, neck buff, 3m rope and waterproof notebk/pencil.
