Hellooo.... Just bought a F-rib and new to the hobby!

Post by Samstephens90 » 08 Feb 2019, 16:00

Hi All,

Hope everyone is well and seeking shelter from storm Eric :o!

I have just purchased an F-Rib 360 / Suzuki 20hp with a couple of friends. We are all frothing to get out an about around East Dorset and Sussex coast to explore and do some fishing! :yay

Look forward to hearing and learning from this forum as am completely new to the hobby, any tips on using F-ribs would be awesome.

Cheers,

Sam

That is going to be a fantastic combination of boat and engine.

Why not bring it along to our March forum outing to the Isle of Wight :waterski

Sam,
All info on outing here;

Suggested and exceedingly well planned by ChrisM, who also just happens to be a powerboat instructor in another life.

Can’t get better than that for your first outing. :thumbsup

Hi Sam, that sounds like a great combination for getting afloat. Any local advice needed for East Dorset don't hesitate to ask. We spend majority of time in Poole now but also know Christchurch, Lymington, Keyhaven reasonably well as we used to use our smaller boats there. The meetups are really friendly, enjoy the Solent one.
Please feel free to ask questions about training & RYA qualifications, if you're not local we will try to point you in the right direction!

Welcome aboard (again) Sam, Well done on your purchase of the frib. Always good when a forum member sells to another member :clappy

You're gonna love it mate, just watch your seats if you sit on them whilst under power, they have a tendancy to shoot backwards under hard acceleration. :o :? :lol:

Martin :cheers
