E10 Petrol
Not sure if this has already come up, but! How will this new E10 petrol effect outboards, both 2 and 4 stroke?

Re: E10 Petrol
Hi Pete,
Not heard of it ? Where have I been hiding : O !
But the best and honest description I found is on the RAC site : )
It's to do with the percentage of ethanol ie E10 10% of it added to the 90% of unleaded petrol.
It'll work well on the new recent and future vehicle models but won't on many older ones : (
Car engines are 4 stroke so that's a starting point , it just depends on the year of manufacture.
As for 2 strokes , probably continue using unleaded and maybe an additive for good measure ?
You never know wha£ they're going £o do nex£ ?

Re: E10 Petrol
Just need to keep an eye on any rubber/neoprene fuel lines as they are likely to harden earlier than with non E10 fuel. Phase separation also happens (resulting in water in the fuel) as a result I no longer buy as much fuel in advance to store for next or future trips. Any fuel left over from a trip out goes into a can and gets used if out again within a week or 2 or into my ride on mower (via a Mr Funnel water separating filter funnel) Before I used the funnel I had to drain and clean the mower carb due to water a few times. Progress?!
Why am I here - I should be in my boat fishing!!

Re: E10 Petrol
I've got a Mr Funnel filter and they are great for removing any water from fuel.
