360 or 330 ?
Well I am now very close to purchasing an F Rib but need a bit of advice if you can.
I am very torn between the 360 & 330.
The 360 is £300 more - does it really warrant the extra money ?
My wife obviously wants me to get the 330, in fact she thinks me and my son are fine in a 275 but I am sure that's too small !
Has anyone got any phsical lengths as I am sure a lot is lost from the back end (not sure what they are call - the "Bits that Stick out" !).
And one final question if I went for 330 instead of 360 although it says max 15HP could I really still go for 20 Yam ?
**UPDATE - I have found cockpit dimmensions so I understand it but £300 is a lot for the physical different, does anyone have any ammo to shoot the missus with ?

Re: 360 or 330 ?
It all depends what you want to do, 2 up fishing in a 275 would be very cosy. I've got the 360 and it's fine for 2 adults fishing. Just tell Mrs, the bigger the boat the lower the centre of gravity will be, so the safer it will be for 2 people.

Re: 360 or 330 ?
£300 for 15cm sounds dramatic i know....
I have the 375 and i have to say, i'm bloody pleased i bought it.
The 360 has slightly smaller tubes in comparison to the 375.
the 375 weighs in around 55kg, can you handle that extra weight ?
The 375 takes upto a 25hp...
The 360 takes 20hp
Both are remarkable, both go like bloody hell,
Here's me and my crew in the F-Rib 375...
Hopefully someone can post up a preview of a similar shot on a Frib 360 to give you a clearer comparison.

Re: 360 or 330 ?
Thanks All, Stray, she read the post, ooooooops !
Paul, thanks that helps.
Martin you have gone past my budget and my tow car for boot space, its a Chevrolette Captiva (Not a nice big Navara), I am comparing 330 with 360 only unfortunatly. This is mostly for me and my Son to fish from so I did think the 360 was OK but the difference on the 330 doesn't seem to warrant it, I have three kids so it will never be big enough TBF.
It would be good to see similar photo's of people in 330 and 360, the other question is still if it will take a 20HP on the 330.

Re: 360 or 330 ?
Hi Dave and welcome to the Forum.
I have the 360 and glad I bought that and not the 330. Just back from my 1st serious trip to Etive fishing and cruising about (covered 40 miles on day 2 using 12ltr of fuel 2 up + tackle etc.) With minimal tackle bags, anchor and fuel tank (+snacks flask) it has enough room - just, to be comfy. the difference between it and the 330 would be the space my anchor bucket takes up. I also own a Honwave 380 airfloor, a great sib, the 360 has a bit more floor space due to the smaller diameter tubes.

Why am I here - I should be in my boat fishing!!

Sorry mate I'd contest those quoted figuresMartin wrote: The 360 has slightly smaller tubes in comparison to the 375.

The 375 takes upto a 25hp...
The 360 takes 20hp
Both the 360 and 375 have tube diameters of 430 mm.
Both the 360 and 375 maximum OB ratings are 25hp.
The 330 tube diameter is 420mm and maximum OB rating is 15hp.

Agree with the advice given above
but would add these comments
Like me you're a family of 5 and my advice would be to go for the 360 with 20hp if space, weight and finances allow
My reason being is that I'm sure at one time or another in the future the whole family may wish to join you on a gentle cruise for a picnic or go exploring.
As the kids grow up you'll need the extra space and power .... especially when later on they'll possibly want to be pulled on 'toys' i.e. a Ringo, kneeboard.
I've found my 'needs' changing constantly to suit the family, however the 360/20hp setup currently covers them all

Thanks Paul...It appears as though they have updated their site, Yes i agree, the figures i quoted are now seemingly wrong and now my notepad has a page missing...Paul wrote:Sorry mate I'd contest those quoted figuresMartin wrote: The 360 has slightly smaller tubes in comparison to the 375.

They've also corrected the weight... 55/56kg for the 3.75
